We hold this organization near to our hearts as we have witnessed first hand the extraordinary impact they have had on the children in our community.

Arkansas Valley Advocates for Dyslexia (AVAD)'s mission is to raise dyslexia awareness and offer financial support for individuals with dyslexia within the Arkansas Valley.  There are many myths and misconceptions about dyslexia.  One of our goals is to dispel those myths and educate the community on the strengths and struggles associated with dyslexia.  In addition, useful supports for dyslexia are expensive!  Another one of our goals is to support families and individuals by helping with the financial burden of evaluations, tutoring by qualified individuals, and adaptive technology. When a person with dyslexia is given the supports they need and the ones research shows help, their extraordinary gifts have a chance to shine.  Let's give our friends and family with dyslexia the opportunity to unleash all they have to offer!

This is where you come in!

For every $10 donation* you will be entered into our drawing to win the very last Brink Topo Portero backback in existence or one of our NEW (not yet released) William Foldinghaus billfolds or Lil' Billy card holder wallets.

*No purchase necessary. While the primary goal of the Sewing Hope Together Initiative is to raise much-needed funds for organizations we are passionate about, we recognize that making a financial gift is not within reach for everyone. We are using the initiative to promote kindness! Simply describe your act of kindness in a 500 word essay and send it to info@ovejanegrathreadworks.com by December 5th to get one entry in the drawing.
