There are currently openings in the following positions:
Pre Production Technician
Full time preferred, minimum of 30 hours/week
Core Responsibilities:
- Turning raw materials into the early stages of the bags we make
- Building and preparing all bag-making materials to hand off to sewing team
- Cutting fabric with fabric cutters and scissors. Die cutting plastics, fabrics, and foam with a clicker press
- Sorting, counting, and organizing zippers, buckles, shock cord, binding, webbing, fabric, and any other items that go into making the bags
- Working closely with production team and sewing staff to keep the entire process streamlined and moving efficiently
- Receive and process deliveries and properly store all production materials shipped to the shop
- Occasionally assisting Shipping and Customer Service staff with phone calls, walk in customers, and final bag inspections
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of and prior work in a production setting
- Expert ability to work in a multi-task environment with a team
- Solid communication skills with team
- Basic computer skills and abilities
- Basic knowledge of bike industry, bikepacking in particular, is a plus
- Ability to exercise initiative and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority
- Ability to interpret, understand policies and procedures and relate them to others
- Ability to resolve difficult situations in an appropriate and effective manner
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and organize multiple duties
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks and work with your hands on a daily basis
- Ability to safely handle and operate sharp tools and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to abide by all factory safety requirements
Wage Information: $18-$20 starting wage based on experience and skill with the potential for future raises based on skill and efficiency.
Shipping & Customer Service
Full time preferred, minimum of 32 hours/week
Core Responsibilities:
- Fulfilling and shipping out customer orders
- Answering phone calls and emails from customers, potential customers, and dealers
- Providing professional and excellent customer service
- Working with customers who walk up to purchase in store, especially in busy summer months
- Detailed final inspection of finished bags to get them ready for sale
- Assisting with pre-production duties when needed and possible: cutting fabric, pressing plastic, cutting foam, sorting, etc.
- Receiving, processing, and putting deliveries away in proper locations
- Entering product into inventory and managing an accurate inventory count
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Top-notch customer service skills and abilities
- Basic knowledge of bicycles, bike industry, and bikepacking is necessary
- Expert ability to work in a multi-task environment with a team
- Solid communication skills and the ability to communicate with the team
- Basic computer skills and abilities
